That same weekend NYSW again is hosting a free coach’s clinic with sessions on Friday and Saturday at the Doug Miller Sports Dome featuring Bob Gansler. Gansler was Head Coach of the United States National Team from 1989 – 1991 and guided our country to the 1990 World Cup, the first appearance in 40 years. Coach Gansler was also a fixture as a player with the United States National Team in the 1960’s. He captained the Americans at the 1964 and 1968 Olympics as well as the 1967 Pan American games. Coach Gansler’s professional coaching resume includes the Milwaukee Rampage of the USA A-League (1996-1998) the Kansas City Wizards of MLS (1999-2006) and Toronto FC (2006 and 2007).  Coach Gansler won a league title with the Milwaukee Rampage in 1997, and won the MLS Cup in 2000 and the US Open Cup in 2004 both with Kansas City.
