Former US Youth Soccer star Joy Fawcett, a member of the 1999 World Cup championship team and 1996 U.S. Olympic gold medalist, will help select the winning families. Fawcett, who also is the current star with the Womens United Soccer Associations San Diego Spirit and mother of three girls, will present the grand prize to the winning family at halftime of the MLS championship game in Los Angeles on Nov. 23, 2003. To enter, families should submit an essay explaining why they should be Soccer Family of the Year. Entries should be no longer than 150 words, include a family picture and mailed to Tide Presents Whirlpool Home Appliances Soccer Family of the Year -- c/o DraftWorldwide 640 North LaSalle Street/Suite #350 Chicago, Il. 60610.
