
Amy D. Gush of Trumansburg, N.Y., has been named the new Executive Director of NY West. She brings 18 years of experience in communications and fundraising, most recently as the Executive Director and Director of Fundraising of the Corning Community College Development Foundation.
Prior to that, Amy worked as the Acting Director of Communications and Marketing at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, and as the Director of Development for the OSU Foundation at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore.
After receiving her bachelor’s of science degree from Virginia Tech, she taught and coached one year in the Horseheads Central School District prior to returning to Virginia Tech to pursue her MBA. Following that, Amy worked at LeMoyne College in Syracuse and at the SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Science Center in Corning and she is also a Board Member of the Finger Lakes Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
