NYSW Grant Report:  Gates Youth Soccer Club holds “Fun Day” to Promote Playing Soccer

Hello Amy,

As promised I am sending you some preliminary results from our “Fun Day” promotion. We used our last year grant money to offset the cost for this promotion. Once again we are calling it a success. We had approximately 90 plus in attendance this year. We have 15 definite registrations and expect more at our registration that are a direct result of this promotion. I have attached an article that appeared in our local newspaper and a couple of invoices to show how we spent the money from the grant. Although there are more bills and invoices on the way these will show the grant money plus.

I will forward some pictures as they become available to me. That should be later on this afternoon.

Once again on behalf of Gates Youth Soccer, I would like to express our sincere thanks to NYSWYSA for maintaining this program. This grant helps us to continue to find ways to keep our club strong and registrations coming. Again I am sorry for the delay in this letter however our promotion was only a couple of weeks ago. We are already thinking of planning another fun day possibly in January. This will be closer to our registration blitz and hopefully pick up more early registrations.

Sincerely
Lanny Stock
Secretary Gates Youth Soccer

US Youth Soccer Region One aids local Clubs affected by Flood

US Youth Soccer Region One recently sent flood relief grants to two of our clubs that were affected by the flooding as a result of Tropical Storm Lee in the Binghamton district.

Maine-Endwell Soccer Club and the Tioga Youth Soccer Club both received grants from the region to help with repairs to their heavily damaged fields.
