TOPSoccer: We need your help!
We are looking for someone to help coordinate the current program in Rochester. We are also looking for someone to reactivate the programs in the Southern Tier (Jamestown area) and the Twin Tiers (Corning-Elmira area) and we need help getting a brand new program started in Syracuse.

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, age 5 - 19, who has a mental or physical disability.

There are currently 4 TOPSoccer programs running in New York State West; Binghamton, Buffalo, Oswego and Rochester. There are approximately 180 registered TOPSoccer players and over 100 volunteers. The unique thing about TOPSoccer is that each program is different and is created around the needs of the participants. Additionally, TOPSoccer athletes are placed on teams according to ability, not age. The program is designed to be rewarding, challenging and fun.

If you are interested in finding out more about these rewarding volunteer opportunities, please contact Dan Watson at the NY West State Office (800-789-4806 or dan@nyswysa.org) or the NYSWYSA TOPSoccer Coordinator, Teresa Doermer (716-773-8962 or TOPSoccer@nyswysa.org).
