He will also show the keepers how to read and time their play and how to effectively communicate with defenders.

The Coaches Toolbox --  Glen Buckley

The exercises shown in this session can be used at any age group, but Mike will focus on the U12’s. He will show you how to design exercises that stress communication and various technical passing and receiving points. He will also emphasize the need for making training sessions competitive.

Doug May 3 v 3 Festival for U10’s (Girls and Boys)
This special Festival is named in memory of the late Doug May - a long time NY West area coach for travel teams, ODP, high schools and colleges, and a 2005 NYW Hall of Fame inductee.
There will be separate play for boys and girls teams. Coed teams will play in the boys division. There is a limit to the number of teams that can participate, so entries will be accepted on a "first come - first served" basis. Each team will play at least 3 matches to small goals with no goalkeepers. The maximum roster size is 5. Detailed playing rules will be forwarded to all teams upon receipt of entry/roster form.
Each team’s players must be properly registered/insured through the NYW RosterPro registration program and accompanied by a registered/insured adult. (If you need help with this, please contact Sandy Ostebo at sandyostebonyw@stny.rr.com). There is no entry fee. All players will receive a participation award. The deadline for entries to be submitted to Sandy Ostebo is Monday, November 6. Entries must be submitted on an official NYW roster by selecting the Doug May 3 v 3 league and then sending the official roster page by E-mail to Sandy Ostebo

As a start to a brainstorming list for the uses of the available portion of this reserve, here are some of the ideas the NY West Board has discussed: Purchasing RosterPro club version software for our member clubs, getting Soccer Start programs going in each district, scholarships, hire additional help to assist in different areas, use it to absorb increased operating costs.

RosterPro Registration Session -- Demosphere International
A representative from Demosphere will show how to use the various features of the RosterPro registration program. Individual questions and concerns will be addressed.

TOPSoccer, How to start a Program -- Teresa Doermer
