Michael Paolini will enter his third year as the head men’s soccer coach at Wells College. Most recently, Paolini was the assistant soccer coach at LeMoyne College, where he helped lead the Dolphins to playoff berths in each of his four seasons. He also currently coaches the U12 girls Syracuse Football Club, which in July became the first NYW girls’ team to win a Regional Championship. Paolini played professionally with the New Hampshire Phantoms for three seasons, and tallied two goals and two assists in his rookie season with the USL D3 club. He also participated in the Rochester Rhinos training camp out of college.
Paolini holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) advanced national and national diploma.
A four-year starter at SUNY Plattsburgh, Paolini was named first team all-SUNYAC and all-region, team Most Valuable Player and All-American in his senior year. He also was team captain during both his junior and senior years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Restaurant Tourism Management in May of 1999. Since graduation, he has served as the Director of Soccer at the Central New York Family Sports Centre in Baldwinsville, N.Y., Co-Director of the Syracuse Football Club, and Owner/ Director of Professional 1v1/Team Training-Pao’s Soccer School of Excellence. In 2003, Mike was the head coach of the U16 Syracuse Blitz Quake girls, who went onto be NYSW State Cup Champions.
