2025 NYSWYSA Risk Management Policy

To ALL Club Administrators:

 

UPDATE: The new RM Policy document was approved by the NYSWYSA Board of Directors on March 20,2024 and is now available for download below and on the side vertical menu.

 

The 2025 NYSWYSA Risk Management Policy is now posted and brings our Association into full written compliance with ALL current USSF & USYS Bylaws as well as ALL current Federal & New York state legal requirements for youth soccer and Minor athletes. This includes but is not limited to the 2017 Safe Sport Authorization Act (SSAA), Model Codes of Conduct, Severity of Misconduct Matrices, USSF Bylaw 212-3, Model MAAPP Policies, Model Prohibted Conduct Policies and Safe Sport Reporting Requirements.

What does this mean for you?
Because there have been so many changes in overall Risk Management for Youth Sports since 2017, NYSWYSA will soon provide you with an updated Risk Management Policy document and respective web resources that incorporates all these changes and their impact upon you and your Clubs. The intent of this policy document is to provide you with as easy-to-use, plain language resource that is a one-stop means to ensure your Club is managing risk at the appropriate level. This new document will be announced and posted here in the near future.
