NYSWYSA ITC (International Transfer Clearance) Rules - Updated 1/2022

In response to changes from US Soccer with regards to ITC (International Transfer Clearance), the board of NYSWYSA have agreed that the following programs henceforth require players to have mandatory ITC clearance. 

 

  • US Youth Soccer National Championship Series which includes NYSWYSA State Cup and Presidents Cup.
  • US Youth Soccer National League and Regional League Conferences which include EDP Conferences and Great Lakes Conference.
  • Any Club that has an affiliation with a Professional Club.

 

Clearance is necessary only for those players born outside of the USA, or players who have registered / competed for a soccer organization in a country other than the USA.

 

NYSW Registration Process: While a player is awaiting clearance from US Soccer they should be registered with the club player pool and are able to participate in practices however are not able to participate in official games. The players can be added to a team roster to ensure their eligibility at the time of clearance however player passes are NOT to be printed and distributed for the player until clearance has been received.
